Residents enjoy container gardening

Several Lancaster residents were talking about all the fresh vegetables they enjoy in the summer time, so a few of the master gardeners decided to try a “container garden.” Executive Director Tom Wyszynski donated all the plants to their project.

So far they have some beautiful tomatoes, broccoli and peppers — everything seems to be growing fast. Container gardens make gardening possible for all the residents who enjoy getting their hands dirty along with the rest of the community.

The retirement community can be proud of all its flowers. The residents help with deadheading all the flowers to keep them beautiful and healthy. Not too long from now they will be eating and enjoying their harvest in their gazebo and pondering what they would like to get into for fall. Happy Gardening!!
