Halloween morning started with trick or treaters form the Apple Tree Children’s Learning Center. Approximately 30 children arrived to collect a variety of candy and each was given an orange or black bag decorated with a Primrose sticker. It was so much fun for the residents and the children!
We then had a special Halloween meal consisting of witch’s brew, mystery meat sandwiches, frog eye salad, and orange moon cake with worms. Everyone was worried as to what they were getting to eat but when they saw the meal it turned out great!
Later in the afternoon the décor of the grand room became dark and spooky with music and Halloween decorations. We had residents come as prisoners, witches, ghosts, clowns, and even goldilocks made an appearance. Treats and beverages were served with some jokes read and prizes to the three best costumes. What a great day!!
