Betty and Roscoe enjoying the hamburgers
Jack showing his love for French fries
Today we visited a Kansas City staple — Hayes Hamburgers. Hayes has been a part of Kansas City for the past 60 years, and they are famous for their great greasy burgers, chili and homemade pie. Hayes is unique in that you can’t sit in to eat, you have to grab and go instead. We grabbed our food and headed out to visit the local park. It was a beautiful, warm day and nothing was coming between us and the delicious taste of our hamburgers! Once seated at the shelter in the park we shared stories about the times we had been to the restaurant. Jack used to work right around the corner so he went about every day and said he never had a bad meal. Judy said every 4th of July around midnight her and her family would place a huge order as a midnight snack. Luckily they are open 24/7! We are planning another visit there before the weather turns cold. These are the kinds of outings that make Primrose living unique and special for our staff and our residents!
