Ruby Heckathorn is thankful for many things in her 100 year life. Family is at the top of the list, along with having a good place to live. She also is thankful for good health, the ability to get around, and “having her mind.”
Ruby says she is so very thankful for all her friends at Primrose and all that the staff does for her. She has expressed gratitude at being able to go on outings, and the churches her family takes her to. She is grateful for the experience with the Farm Bureau and the 4-H — the 4-H introduced her to foreign exchange students from Denmark, Netherlands, England, Finland, India, Turkey and China. She was glad for the opportunity to visit Europe, all the states, Canada and Mexico.
Ruby is very thankful for being raised on a farm, and for being a teacher for many years.
