Mansfield, OH, Retirement Communities

Residents boarded the bus wearing their sunscreen and fishing hats and carrying their tackle boxes, fish bait and fishing poles for what now seems to be an annual summer event at the Mansfield, Ohio Primrose.

We take a nice country drive to Clear fork River Reservoir to the handicapped fishing deck where we have special permission by the park rangers to drive right up to the deck and unload the residents and gear.

Then the fun begins.

Everyone catches at least a few fish, hopefully no snakes this year.

Oh what a day, and the fun doesn’t stop there. We are now seasoned fishermen and women as we were caught in a rain downpour. That didn’t stop the stories, though, on the ride home. They were all troopers and earned the “Official Fisherman” awards. Rose Pfeil caught the first fish of the day. Good times at Primrose.
