At Sweetwater we are continually focused on the education of our nursing staff in order to better serve our residents.

Each month, there is a Nursing/CNA meeting with a topic relevant to our senior community.

For the month of July Kim Bailey, RN from Riverstone Public Health Services, presented on Disease/Incident Reports. Our nursing staff looks forward to these monthly “in-service” sessions where we expand our knowledge with topics specifically tailored to our growing senior population.

We are also committed to expanding our residents’ knowledge on topics important to them.

Each month, there is a seminar titled “Medical Moment”. This is a casual talk in our pub, and it is led by Mark Cassel, RN from Interim Health Care.

Mark always brings a topic that our residents are interested in, and sometimes he will speak on topics that residents request. For July, the subject was Atrial Fibrillation. Our residents enjoy these talks and the ability to ask questions.

Mark has been giving these talks for over 5+ years and we appreciate him so much.
