Residents of Primrose Mansfield came decked out in Hawaiian clothing with lays around their necks, flowers in their hair, and Hawaiian print shirts to start out the spring/summer season. The party started with a “pass the coconut game” and then on to a fresh coconut cracking demonstration. The hit of the party was resident volunteer Noah Peters demonstrating the Hawaiian Luau Hula steps while I read the motions and the meaning behind each motion. Noah then put it all together to a hula song and danced to the laughter and fun had by all. Residents are fruit kabobs and coconut macaroons along with a fancy blue Caribbean punch. Residents also got their pictures taken in the Hawaiin photo booth. Residents chatted and shared wonderful memories of their visits to the Hawaiian Islands.
