Allison Hanson awarded scholarship
ABERDEEN, SD – Primrose Retirement Communities, LLC has named Allison Hanson of Aberdeen as one of two winners of their annual $1000 Education Scholarship. The formal announcement was made last month during the company’s annual Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
Hanson serves as a part-time Medication and Nurse Aide at Primrose Place Assisted Living in Aberdeen, where she joined the Primrose team in 2012. She is a junior at Presentation College and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
“Working at Primrose Place has been such a great opportunity and has made the transition into nursing school a lot more comfortable,” said Hanson. “I’ve learned so much about communicating with residents and their families and how to effectively work through any problems.”
“Allison has great potential, and it is a priority for us here at Primrose to invest in our employees and in the next generation of health care professionals,” said Primrose Retirement Communities President BJ Schaefbauer. “We’re glad to be able to help her pursue her education, and we’re proud to have her on our team.”
The Primrose Education Scholarship is awarded annually to two employees from any of the Primrose Retirement Communities’ 30 location. The other scholarship winner is Emily Hess, who works as an LPN at Primrose Retirement Community of Wausau, WI.
