Long time Primrose resident, Donna Smith, has been volunteering for the local hospital for ten years. She started her volunteer career at Rapid City Regional after moving in to Primrose.
Recently I learned that, Donna Smith, one of our long-time residents has been volunteering at the Rapid City Regional Hospital for ten years! She shared some information about the accomplishments of her volunteer committee, which made us eager to share! Did you know that the Sewing Committee made 134 heart shaped pillows for surgical patients and 919 baby bibs for new born babies in 2013? (WOW!)
Though she no longer sews there is plenty for her to do. From cutting patterns to stuffing heart shaped pillows, Donna volunteers every Monday for two hours. We are proud she is part of our community and love her willingness to go above and beyond for Rapid City! She inspired us to invite her fellow residents to volunteer and to provide transportation for them.
