There are so many games out there. It seems there is a game for everyone. Here at Primrose of Mankato, we’ve devoted our Monday evenings to exploring many different types of games. We’ve played a wide variety of games; some of our favorites being Scrabble, Checkers, SkipBo and Rummikub.

We have general game-lovers who come to every Game Night, regardless of the game just to enjoy the game and the great camaraderie. We have others who come on select nights when specific games are selected. Monday Night Game Night has turned into a great way for residents to get to know their fellow residents and realize they have something in common: GAMES!

We’ve had many residents form and organize their own playing groups for certain games. During their free time, they get together and play games to socialize and pass the time.

Lately, our favorite game has been the card game “500”. It’s a hard game to teach and learn, but once you learn how, it proves to be a very fun game! Our residents enjoy some friendly competition and love giving each other a hard time about “poor dealing” of the cards, and “poor shuffling”. Game night is always full of many of laughs.
