Birdseye view of annual ice cream social

On Thursday, August 22nd, Primrose Kansas City residents gathered on the Game Room patio to enjoy each other’s company and the sweet treats homemade for them by the management team at the annual ice cream social.
This tradition began four years ago as the staff was looking for a way to personally thank each of the residents for allowing us to serve them during their golden years. As has become the tradition, each manager bakes a dessert at home from scratch or hand churns ice cream.
This year, the resident favorites were the pecan pie mini muffins and the York Peppermint Patty cake.
As has become the norm, nearly the whole resident population stopped by for a sweet treat and even sweeter company. In a matter of 90 minutes, all of our bellies were full, and we were laughing, enjoying the beautiful summer weather.
When leaving the social, a number of residents excitedly remarked that they can hardly wait until we meet again next August for round 5.
What a “treat” it is for us all to get to serve these fine adults!
