Men’s Social was a hit!

Pueblo, Colorado, Retirement Communities
It was fun to see “just the guys” together for a special Men’s Social and Father’s Day Program on June 12th. The Garden Café was decorated with dozens of beautiful silk ties donated by Resident Wayne Watts. (We also use these same ties for our chair exercise class!)
Volunteer Frank Lee not only served drinks and food, but he was the guy on the grill to prepare delicious Rib eye steaks. Primrose Bus Driver Jim Ewton helped all around and made a considerable ceremony when handing out “the winning” Bingo cards and the fun prizes.
There were a few girls “allowed” into this special gathering: Life Enrichment “Ring Leaders” Barbara and Heidi, Young Volunteer Elaina Della Rossa (who called Bingo), and New Volunteer Brenda Miles (and her darling daughters Natalie and Loretta) made blue cupcakes and sweet personalized greeting cards for everyone.
The lovely Madalene Cordova sang a special selection of “guy-themed” songs such as “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” that made the event extra special.
To go along with the guy-themed grilled steaks, the group enjoyed Genoa Salami, roast beef sliders, an array of olives and ice cream sandwiches. Everyone went home with a goody bag of treats and a good time was had by all.
The best part? Seeing so many of the fellows together! We especially appreciate all the great Gentlemen we have at Primrose. Thank you for enriching my life, guys.
