ABERDEEN, SD – Primrose Retirement Communities has announced that Kathy Gerdes has joined the Home Office Team as an Executive Nurse Manager. In this role, Gerdes will provide ongoing support to nursing staff and assist the Operations Department in any matters related to nursing throughout the 28 operational Primrose Communities across the country. She will also conduct site visits to all the Communities to review all resident care. Gerdes began in this capacity on May 20th.
Gerdes brings with her years of nursing and management experience. Most recently, she managed a skilled nursing community, two assisted living communities, a home health and hospice program, and several support departments. Prior to that, she spent four years working in an administrative role in the Bowdle, South Dakota Hospital.
“I was impressed with the philosophy and Primrose story. I wanted to stay in a leadership position, and I saw Primrose as a growing, changing, and exciting company,” Gerdes said. “On a personal note, my husband and I wanted to get back to this area, where we both have family.”
