Card-making class at Wasilla Primrose
Jeanette Newcomb’s face is very familiar through the halls of Wasilla Primrose. Her mother Mabel lives here and she knows all of her mother’s friends. But there is something else that makes her familiar and a part of our Primrose family.
Once a month, Jeanette, with the help some of our residents, does a card-making class. Our residents gather around, spread out their stamps, stickers, scissors, tape, glue, glitter and anything else that seems as if it might make a good card and go to it.
Together they have made cards for residents and staff birthdays, each holiday including our St. Patrick’s Day Event, Christmas, going-away notes, baby shower invitations and our Easter Brunch. In addition to card-making, they also make cute little tea cozies as gifts.
At the Wasilla Primrose, this is one of the many activities driven by our amazing residents and their families. For more information about how creative our days are, give us a call and see why we say, “This is Living!”
