Donation ceremony at Wausau Primrose
[Welcome, gentle reader. This is the sixth installment in a series of blogs written by actual Primrose residents. Please return often to read more! — Ed]
Primrose Residents and staff were loud and clear this past September and October when they expressed a strong desire to become involved in local community projects.
Under the direction of Life Enrichment Coordinator, Allison Fierek, residents proudly and anxiously displayed hundreds of inexpensive pink items that included jewelry pinks, ribbons, bracelets, hats and scarves during the 2011 Breast Cancer Awareness Month Sale.
Primrose’s first official fundraising project was directed to bring attention to the Aspirus Women’s Health Organization of the Wausau Area, a non-profit organization designed to bring better health options to women living within our community.
A check, in the amount of $236.00 was presented to representatives from the Asprius Women’s Health Foundation during a donation ceremony on December 7th 2011.
With our first successful fundraising event behind us, residents are anxious to begin work on another community project.
