Art gives us a mental boost, whether by appreciating the works of others or by the self satisfaction of creating something worthwhile. Either way, art can be a powerful tool toward having fun!

With that in mind, the Mankato Primrose recently hosted an Art Exhibit by inviting local artist, Malia Kroh, to come and share her work. Malia brought in paintings as small as 8 inches tall and as large as 5 feet tall. She also brought several paper mache sculptures of life-sized children, done in various poses as if sitting in a classroom, listening to a story.

Malia’s presentation included telling the residents about her background: where she went to school, where she got her inspiration from and the different techniques she uses to produce her unique art. Afterward, Malia worked on a painting in front of the group.
