Speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil…

Council Bluffs Primrose
When life hands you lemons, make lemonade. Primrose of Council Bluffs is taking this meaningful saying to a whole new level. They have recently created the Lemon Club to improve the quality of life of their residents.

Why the Lemon Club, you ask? Well, a collective group of positive thinkers wanted to turn negative thinkers (who were sometimes labeled “lemons”) into positive and optimistic individuals.

There have been many studies done on positive thinking and how it can prolong life and make it more enjoyable. According to an article published by the Mayo Clinic, there are many benefits to positive thinking such as increased lifespan, lower rates of depression, greater resistance to the common cold, and better coping skills during hardships and times of stress. These benefits apply to all age groups.

Which explains why the Lemon Club was instituted. Primrose residents are encouraged to talk about sour situations that they have experienced or are presently going through, and the collective group plays a vital role in influencing a positive perspective on the matter. The result: many peoples outlooks on life are improved, and positive thinking becomes a reinforced second nature.
