• Tom Scott served in the United States Army Infantry and his rank was Army Private First Class.
• He was recently fortunate to be chosen to go on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. on Saturday, October 1, 2016.
• He was interviewed by the Veterans – who sent his name over to Columbus, OH for him to be considered for the Honor Flight.
• The Honor Flight is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing veterans with honor and closure. Their mission is to transport America’s Veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor the service and sacrifices of themselves and their friends. Top priority is given to senior veterans including World War II survivors and others who may be terminally ill.
• All that were chosen flew into Baltimore, Maryland.
• They then took a bus to Washington, D.C. to see the sights
• They were not able to go to the Lincoln Monument on this trip but, they did get to go to the Washington Monument
• He was also fortunate enough to talk to United States Senator Bob Dole and even had his picture taken with him.
• He had a wonderful trip to Washington, D.C. and was honored to be chosen for the Honor Flight.
