A few weeks back, the residents at Primrose of Mankato saw a story in the local newspaper about the Salvation Army accepting donations for the new year. The residents of Primrose in Mankato took it upon themselves to raise and donate to Mankato’s Salvation Army towards the noon feeding program. The noon feeding program operates seven days a week all year long feeding 30,000 people annually.

Our residents raised over $450.00 and once the money was collected, the Life Enrichment Coordinator, Hannah, contacted the Salvation Army to set up a date to visit, donate and tour the facility. During the tour we learned about the Salvation Army and the different programs and opportunities they offer for those in need in the local area. We learned so much information and we were amazed with the facility and the opportunities that are offered. Within the next few weeks we are hoping to go back to the Salvation Army and help serve lunch during the noon feeding program.
