Residents, friends and families enjoy the family picnic
Party tents dotted the Primrose parking lot when Findlay held their annual family picnic. Nearly 250 residents and guests of all ages enjoyed this beautifully sunny and warm fall day which could have been deemed “perfect” on the weather map.
Our theme this year was ‘Hoe Down’ which included chicken barbeque with all the fixings and super cute country centerpieces decorated with little cowboy boots and horseshoes as well as red bandana and cow patterned helium balloons. The kids had the opportunity to get their faces painted and most took home a colorful balloon as well.
Leeza, one of our Resident Assistants, runs a dance studio and brought along several of her students to demonstrate line dancing. It wasn’t long before residents and visitors joined in to Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots are Made for Walkin’” and other popular country singers such as Shania Twain and Dottie West.
Additionally residents had the opportunity for complementary family portraits which were taken against a red barn backdrop surrounded by straw bales, pumpkins and other autumn décor. We had lots of great compliments from residents and guests, and the staff had an exhausting, but fun day as well!
