Jack and Betty at their first Royals Game!

Kansas City, MO, Retirement Communities

This past Sunday we were able to take Primrose residents Jack and Betty to their very first Royals baseball game. Jack, who is 92, and Betty, 82, have never been to a game. It was a very hot afternoon, 92 degrees, but we had great seats that provided plenty of shade the whole game. We enjoyed, brats, chili cheese fries, ice cold soda and pulled pork sandwiches. Even though the Royals lost the game the atmosphere was hopping.

Jack was amazed at all of the people who come to tail gate and walk around. He wondered if they even watched the game at all. They were both awarded a first Royals game certificate. The Royals are still number one in the central division and we are hoping for a repeat world series with the exception of winning the whole thing! Betty never missed a game on TV and every morning she is giving the morning report from the game the night before. She will forever be a Royal!
