On August 15, 2015, a busload of Rapid City Primrose residents took a trip to Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, S.D. to see their air show. The Thunderbirds flight team headlined the day, and our residents really loved their aeronautic display. Seven residents, most of whom were veterans, went on the bus to see the planes. It was very exciting and very loud, but all the residents had a great time.

Since it was a very hot day, we made sure to bring a cooler full of ice water to keep everyone cool and hydrated. Each resident also had a snow cone to cool off with, and on the way home they took a detour to get some ice cream. Here are pictures of the residents and the planes they got to see on that day. It was really amazing the stunts the planes pulled. In fact, at one time, two planes looked like they were going to crash head on when they pulled away from each other. How fascinating!
