You can stop any one of our residents and ask them about the dedication of Primrose Retirement Community’s staff. Every employee who works for Primrose has made a commitment to care and to serve.

When did you start working at the community?
Our longest serving staff member is Carol Vetter who started working for Bismarck Primrose in 2002.

Why did you choose to work for Primrose?
Prior to working at Primrose, Carol worked as a cook for 9 years at the Napoleon Care Center until she decided to sell her farm to her son and move to Bismarck. She chose to work at Primrose because she wanted the opportunity to cook for people.

What are some of your favorite memories of working here?
Carol enjoys cooking simple things like cream chicken and short ribs.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Her favorite part of her job is by far the people because she knows what they like and dislike. Carol said, “I also love working with the staff as well because I am the oldest so they have to listen to me! Ha. Ha.”

What are your personal hobbies?
When Carol is not working she loves to get out of town and go to her cabin.
