Kokomo, IN, Retirement Communities

The local Kiwanis takes groups of volunteers to read to kindergarten children. Kokomo Primrose resident Daisy Strange enjoys reading to the children.

“It brings back memories of reading to my children when they were younger,” Daisy says.

Daisy also enjoys listening to the stories the children tell her. “You never know what they are going to say. Some of the stories are shocking and amazing.”

The children are always excited to pick out a book, which they get to take home with them, and are always appreciative of being read to.

Thank you to Kiwanis for letting us be a part of this wonderful program.
