Primrose residents make fleece blankets for donation to Transitions
The residents at Primrose have been working on fleece blankets for the last few months. They donated 9 handmade fleece blankets to the Transition Women’s Shelter. This has been a great activity for them, and gave them great pride knowing that all their hard work was going to a great cause. Patty, Director of Transitions came to Primrose so they could present the blankets to her, and they were also able to ask questions and learn more about the shelter.
Transitions is a shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. They provide 24-hour hotline service, safe shelter for women and children, crisis intervention and emotional support for victims. Transitions also provides victim advocates in Zanesville Municipal Court, Muskingum County Court and the Domestic Relations Court. These advocates educate the victims about the court system, accompany victims and help them obtain protection orders when necessary.
