Rapid City, SD, Retirement Communities

This year’s weather confused the fall foliage a bit, but fourteen residents of Primrose Rapid City enjoyed the Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway and the “Lime Green” leaves!

We journeyed north on Tuesday, September 17th and Thursday, September 19th. Our incredible kitchen staff prepared delicious sack lunches which were enjoyed by all in the great outdoors. We toured Roughloch Falls as they have great access to view the rushing waters.

Many of the residents commented on how much more they could see from our bus — it sits up high and has lots of windows. The sun hit the rim rock in the canyon making for exquisite sights. We were able to pull off and easily view Bridal Vail Falls from our many windows, too.

To view what’s next for Primrose of Rapid City, visit our calendar here — we are looking forward to a trip to the Farmers Market and to enjoy the Native American Day Celebration on Main Street Square this October!
