Over the past year the Primrose Teams have been busy sponsoring races, chance drawings, “jails,” and picnics — to name just a few — all to help raise money for the Brown County Relay for Life event that took place May 31st until the morning of June 1st.
The Primrose home office has been involved in this event for a number of years in Aberdeen by not only raising money but also helping those employees who have been affected with cancer themselves.
The Survivor lap this year included four Primrose employees walking hand-in-hand to show their support of each other and those other survivors in attendance.
This year the Primrose teams raised a total of about $7,700. Besides donating this amount of money to Relay for Life, Primrose is also a Corporate Sponsor for the event.
This year’s event included many games and entertainment to include Zumba, Roller Derby demo/races, and a videotaped Harlem Shake that was started by the Max & Erma characters from the Max & Erma’s restaurant.
Primrose is already involved in next year’s fundraising by sponsoring a mud run on August 24th at Wylie Park in Aberdeen. This will be the third year for this event that includes obstacles, running/walking, water, sand, and other surprises. Wylie Park is a premier venue in Aberdeen and a great area to have this event.
Thanks for being a part of our Brown County TEAM!
