Ducks make home at Primrose
It was one of those sights that touch your heart: A duck limping from a wound could be seen by our staff and residents at our Anderson Primrose one spring morning in 2012.
We considered whether she needed help but then soon discovered another duck — her companion and mate — watching over and protecting her. How could we separate them? They seemed content together.
The weeks passed and to our happy surprise one day, there she was limping and leading her little ducklings. She and her companion had made Primrose their home!
Now with spring 2013 here, guess who we saw this week? Yes, the happy duck couple is back! Primrose has surely become their home.
In life we each have our different limitations. To those who care, we watch out for each other. Love of spouses, children, family and friends, draw us to each other. We’re drawn to friendly places where we feel comfortable and protected. Our hearts seek for a home-like place to live. To all of us at Primrose, this is home, this is really living!
