Eleanor Briggs, the subject of this story
[Welcome, gentle reader. This is the second installment in a series of blogs written by actual Primrose residents. Please return often to read more! — Ed]
My friend Eleanor Briggs had a party for all the residents who live in Pueblo Primrose. She had an occasion she wanted to celebrate. She moved into Pueblo Primrose on November 1, 2010.
At dinner there was live music, red and white wine and a very special dessert. The dessert was Black Forest Cake decorated with chocolate swirls, chocolate candy and cherries.
Eleanor moved to Pueblo from the Chicago area to live near her daughter Jeanie Latka, a well-known Colorado artist who has a studio with her husband Tom. Their Latka Pottery is a Pueblo treasure.
Eleanor made a brief speech in which she praised the staff at Primrose and expressed gratitude for the people who live here who have been wonderful friends. She is always saying “This place is a miracle.”
I agree with her. It is.
