Veterans Day

Veterans’ wives honored

The Bismarck Primrose spent the afternoon on Tuesday honoring its veterans and the spouses of veterans. A special program was held for all of the residents to attend.

Captain Jeff Hoffer, of the United States Army, came in to speak to the Primrose Veterans. He talked about the significance of Veteran’s Day and gave special recognition to the veterans attending. Captain Hoffer also discussed the present situations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and his daily duties as a full-time serviceman. He brought an assortment of gear which he wore during his three tours in Iraq.

After the presentation, Captain Hoffer visited with residents and answered questions. Wine, punch, coffee, and cheese were served.

The Veteran’s Day festivities continued on Thursday. A local music group came to perform their annual “Parade of American Music,” which was patriotic and upbeat. Treats and refreshments were served.
