Residents celebrate with costumes
Council Bluffs Primrose
The leaves have turned and many have fallen
but Autumn should never be forgotten.
For we still have the month of Thanksgiving
We reside at Primrose where, ‘This is Living!’
Happy Fall ‘Yall!
It’s hard to believe that we are preparing for the upcoming holiday season — another football, apple and Halloween season has come and gone, and now we look forward to Thanksgiving, presents, Christmas Trees & lights! But first we must look back at our fabulous Halloween party.
Our menu included Pumpkin Juice, Mummy Wraps, Vampire Chips with Zombie Dip and a Halloween Cake. We had pumpkin carving, trivia, and worked on a superstition crossword puzzle as a group. It was a WICKED good time!
Also, the tenants have been hard at work preparing for the Dodge House Christmas Tree! Primrose was chosen to decorate one of the many trees at the Historical General Dodge House in Council Bluffs. This year’s theme is Quilting.
Our tree is all hand-made ornaments in a variety of colors with just the exception of the glass beads. Every tenant has had the opportunity to help make and decorate these ornaments. We will also be decorating the fireplace mantle because the Primrose tree is in the Library on the main floor, just as you walk into the Dodge House.
The Dodge House is the historical home of General Grenville Dodge who was one of the top influential people to promote the railroads. The home is a beautiful Victorian mansion which is nestled atop a bluff in the middle of the city. So, take a trip to Council Bluffs and stop by the Dodge House to see the ‘Tree of Many Talents’ handmade by the tenants of Primrose!
