I have been on several hot air balloon rides, but my most memorable ride was in Turkey. A country moving quickly into the twentieth century. We were in an area called Cappadacia, a volcanic area of monstrous proportions. Homes, churches and businesses have been built into the lava of the volcanoes.

What a glorious morning flying over the hills and valleys with 23 other hot air balloons in the air. Our driver was great as he went down into the valleys and over the hills of the volcano. After setting down we were met by our lead truck and served Turkish tea (apple) and cakes.

The ladies of Primrose and some guests attended the Christmas Tea at Cable Road Alliance Church. The men of the Church served the women different flavors of spice and peach spice teas.

The social’s first course was soft succulent scones with jelly and cream. Then the next courses were served on a three-tiered server on the table; on the top tier was the appetizers, the second tier was filled with little sandwiches, and the bottom tier had some delicious desserts.

The entertainers were brothers who were self-taught musicians. They played Christmas favorites on the violin, cello, bass, and piano exquisitely.

The speaker was from Teens For Christ, and she spoke about the different things the teens do.

At the end of the program everyone sang Christian Christmas Carols. All the ladies enjoyed the Christmas festivities.
